We are pleased to provide here a family narrative prepared by James Alfred Sorenson. James is the grandson of Alfred and Frances (Riehle) Hennig and the narrative centers on this couple and their family. Frances Riehle was the daughter of William Riehle (who was a son of Lenonhard Riehle) and Ottilia “Mathilda” Kulas. In the early 1880s William moved to central Wisconsin and around the same time Mathilda arrived in the area from Germany. The two were married in September 1887 and Frances was born in 1890.
