Andrew F. Riehle was born in July 1859 in Morris, Indiana, son of Leonhard and Magdelena (Voegele) Riehle. Leonhard had come to America with his father Felix from Wagshurst, Baden in 1847.
In or around 1879 Andrew moved to Wisconsin along with four of his brothers. Approximately a decade later, on May 13, 1889, he married Anna Marks. They had nine children together over the course of the next 16 years, settling in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, just outside of Milwaukee. Andrew died on April 1, 1940, in Menomonee Falls at the age of 80.
We have a number of photographs below with an equal number of questions so we urge anyone from this part of the family to contact us if they can help resolve these questions and/or provide more information on the Menomonee Falls branch of the family.

The below pictured post card was sent from Menomonee Falls in December 1918 (following the November 11 armistice at the end of the First World War) to Andrew Riehle Jr. It appears to read, in part, as follows: “Dear Brother, did not hear from you for a long time. (?) is worrying that you don’t write. We got a letter from George. He is in France. He thought that you are in France… (?)”
The picture at the right c.1924 shows Joseph Matthew Riehle, Grandson of Andrew F. Riehle, on his First Communion Day. If anyone knows who the younger boy is, please let us know.
The photograph to the left is of Clarence Riehle, son of Andrew F. Riehle. It is reported to have been taken in the 1920s. If anyone has additional information, please comment below.
The photograph to the right is thought to have been taken in the 1930’s and is said to picture Andrew L. Riehle (son of Andrew F). The woman on the left in the dark dress is thought to be Andrew’s wife, Marie (Schnider) Riehle, but we would appreciate confirmation of this and any information on the younger woman.

Thanks for your comment! Per our renewed email exchange, I was able to find this on Ancestry. It is attached to Felix but also to Andrew. Moreover it looks like it was downloaded from this Riehle.Net page since the caption is word for word as given above. That said, we really don’t know who these folks are and so I’d very much like to get more information. Also, thanks again for the correction on the above photograph that was erroneously identified as Andrew and Anna.
