Balkan Lineage which Appears to have Avoided Roman Recruitment

This is a visual summary of a lineage of men of the E-V13 haplogroup and E-BY4793 subclade, presumably born in the Balkans early in the first millennium, who appear to have avoided recruitment by the Roman Legions. This assumption is based on the earliest identified ancestry as identified by the 21st century Y-DNA test subject who is a descendant of this lineage. It is adapted from the The Timeline at Family Tree DNA with the addition of our notes highlighting the most active period of Roman recruitment in the Balkans and (far right) information about earliest known male lineage ancestors of the related Y-DNA test subjects.
